Oscar Leos is an associate attorney at Espey & Associates, P.C. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a litigation associate at a law firm based in San Antonio, Texas where his practice focused on commercial litigation and he advised clients on a wide variety of matters, including contract disputes, internal investigations, and white collar criminal litigation. Oscar also served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office from 2005 through 2010. During his time with the DA’s Office he was primarily assigned as a felony trial prosecutor and was a member of the White Collar Crime Division. As a white collar crime prosecutor Oscar was assigned complex, document intensive, and high profiled cases. His white collar crime practice primarily focused on cases involving fiduciaries, secured creditors, insurance fraud, and deceptive practices. Oscar also worked closely with financial institutions and business leaders as the State prosecuted actions in which they were identified as complainants.
Oscar received his J.D. degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2005. During law school he interned at the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office where he was assigned to the 399th District Court trial team. He was also a staff writer for the St. Mary’s Law Review on Minority Issues.
Oscar earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2001. Prior to attending the University of Texas at San Antonio he was employed as a firefighter.
