Plaintiffs were represented by a high-profile plaintiff attorney practicing throughout the state. The alleged damages were over $5,000,000 and recoverable under the wrongful death and survivors’ statutes arising out of a fatality accident that occurred at a construction site. A two-week trial ended in a hung jury. The prominent plaintiff’s counsel attempted to reset the case for trial. We then refiled our motion for summary judgment which was granted, and the case was dismissed.

– Personal Injury Case

This case related to restoration work performed by the defendant, a well-known state-wide restoration company. Plaintiff alleged violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Statute, Breach of Contract, Common Law Fraud and Fraudulent Inducement, Breach of Implied Warranty and Good and Workmanlike Services resulting in damages in excess of $500,000. Despite the fact that our client’s liability was admitted, the jury awarded only $6,300 in economic damages.

– Construction Case

This case involved the representation of a major construction company that was being sued by a prominent San Antonio businessman for the negligent hiring of off duty police officers. The plaintiff sought damages in excess of $2,000,000. After a five day trial the jury returned a complete defense verdict.
